Callie's Haircut!

Wednesday I took Callie to get her hair cut. I wanted it all one length again. The front had been cut to frame her face after she decided to chop it a few months ago.
Here she is on our way to the zoo. Apparently it is the best pic I have showing the length before.

This is by far one of my favorite pics of the girls. Such sweethearts!
Here she is with a lighter head. She has a goofy face because she was trying to watch some cartoon on the tv in her room. LOL

What a beautiful weekend!

This weekend was beautiful!! Do I dare say summer is here?!?! We got a lot of stuff done around the house too.

Chad finished the border for the raised part of the back yard. Now he just needs to get dirt to fill it in and spread the grass seed. The seed he planted a few weeks ago is about 2" tall! We'll have a back yard to play in, in no time. YAY!! He also built a bench, and installed our new screen/storm door. I love it!

I got about half the flowers I have planned planted. Hopefully I'll be able to finish that soon.

The girls had a great time playing outside, and I was so happy to put them in summer clothes. I'm getting so tired of their fall stuff.

It's almost Christmas!!

I'm not ready yet! I have all my shopping done, I think. I have yet to get everything wrapped though. We haven't made cookies for Santa either. Guess tomorrow and Wednesday will be busy.

Crazy little birthday girl

On Brooke's birthday we had cake and ice cream.

I got her a cute little bear cupcake from Wal-mart. Callie picked out a chocolate cake for the rest of us to eat.

After singing to Brooke, and Callie blew out the candle, we gave the cupcakes to Brooke. She wouldn't touch it, so I pushed her hand into the frosting. She freaked! She got over it pretty quickly, but still wouldn't touch the cake. We tried and tried to get her to play with it, but our efforts were fruitless. She freaked every time she touched the frosting.

Grandma finally cut the cake for her. She had no problem with the cake, it was just the frosting she didn't like.

Aunt Kayleen came over and we had to show her she didn't like her cake. I put the cake down in front of Brooke, and she nearly clawed her way through the back of the high chair. We're mean like that.

I guess when we have a party in a few weeks, I don't have to worry about frosting her cake. LOL!

No way has it been a year!

I can't believe it has been a year already.

HAPPY FIRST BIRTHDAY BROOKELYN HANNAH!!

She is such a big girl. She is starting to walk. She still is wobbly and loses her balance, but she is doing better. Her big sister better watch out. Pretty soon she'll be taking Callie down, instead of the other way around.

It amazes me how much a one year old can communicate without using words. She has different tones to her babbling depending on her mood.

I am so looking forward to seeing the sisterly bond grow. They already love on each other all the time. I think they are going to be great friends.

Happy Birthday sweetie!!
